BLS acting on behalf of Westcountry Land Ltd as the lead consultant have successfully won a planning appeal against the refusal of planning permission by Cornwall Council for a cross subsidy residential development for 42 residential dwellings (21 affordable) on land at Goldmartins Field, off Sampys Hill, Mawnan Smith, Falmouth. The planning application was refused by Cornwall Council against the advice of its professional planning officers. The appeal was subject to a hearing and evidence was provided that there was a need for affordable housing and the housing need fully justified the exceptional circumstances for allowing housing development in the AONB.
