Following on from the masterminding of the Wheal Jane Development Framework, which was adopted as policy by Cornwall Council in 2011, BLS have recently secured a planning consent for the long term management and reclamation of the former Wheal Jane Mine site as part of the Removal of Old Mineral Permission (ROMP's).

BLS have advised Wheal Jane Group/Brownfield Investments Ltd on the phased implementation of proposals identified in the Development Framework and are currently progressing with individual projects as part of the development of the Wheal Jane Earth Science Park.
